
BIO
Louisa Vergozisi (Volos, 1998) is a visual artist and photographer from Vyzitsa, Pelion. Since 2023 she lives and works in Venlo, the Netherlands, where she is mainly active in the field of photography. She has collaborated with various organisations and publications including De Limburger, We Are Today, Co. de Cultuurontwikkelaar, ZOUT Magazine, and BUUN Venlo.
Vergozisi graduated from the Maastricht Institute of Arts (Bachelor in Fine Arts) in 2020. Her works consist of analogue and digital photography, documentary filmmaking and video art and visual art focusing on the relationship between (printed) images and three-dimensional objects and space.
She is a member of the FLUJAS Collective, which focuses on the professional orientation of artists from all fields and the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration. Through the collective, she co-organises and participates in initiatives that promote the creation and interaction of artistic environments.
She has attended seminars on exhibition organisation and curation and since 2024 she also works as a guest curator at the Odapark, center for contemporary art in Venray, the Netherlands. In addition, she has taught photography in schools with a focus on storytelling through images.
Her work has been shown in group exhibitions and festivals, some of which include B32 artspace, Limburg Biënnale, Galerie Wilms, Limburg Film Festival and SCHUNCK.
